On September 22nd 2022, exactly 5 years after her death, on the eve of the inauguration of the first shrine in Lebanon and the Middle East dedicated to the Italian Saint Maria Goretti, a solemn mass filled the church square with reverence. This poignant occasion coincided with the transfer of the remains of the Lebanese martyr, Raya François Chidiac, to their final resting place within a beautifully sculpted candle.
