10 – Painting of Virgin Mary

The painting of the Virgin Mary and her Baby Jesus, hanging inside the church, is an exact copy of the one found in Saint Maria Goretti’s house in Corinaldo, Italy. It is said that the picture was the only wedding gift that the Saint’s parents received on their wedding day.

The family would take the picture with them whenever they moved. Saint Maria was attached to this picture and would carry it and place it close to her heart.

He loves, He hopes, He waits. Our Lord prefers to wait Himself for the sinner for years rather than keep us waiting an instant.
